Positive: Everything was absolutely great! The apartment was clean, spacious, and very cozy. It fully matched the description and even exceeded our expectations. The bed was comfortable, the linens were fresh, and everything we needed was available – from a hairdryer to kitchen utensils. A special thanks to the host for being so welcoming and responsive – everything was organized at a high level.

Positive: Gorgeous views of Tbilisi from a hot tub, wine tasting and watching the winemaking process in the owner’s wine cellar, delicious local homemade food, fireplace, sauna, swimming pool. Very cozy and homely. Very attentive and accommodating hosts. Wonderful getaway.

Positive: The house is amazing! It’s built and decorated with so much love, care and taste. Very clean. It has everything you need: all the cooking essentials, all the bathroom appliances, a fireplace to enjoy cozy evenings, a canteen with tasty wine, BBQ, sauna, hot tub, jacuzzi. It’s just marvelous! The hosts, Lasha and Tatia, are exceptionally friendly and proactive - they always asked if we needed any help and suggested us activities to do. The house also has a huge garden, it snowed overnight and it looked like a fairytale. It’s hard to believe such a gem is only 20-30 min away from Tbilisi - which makes it super convenient to get there. We celebrated the birthday of my husband, and it was amazing! Wonderful memories. Overall, it’s probably the best place we’ve been to in Georgia within almost 2 years of staying here. It’s definitely a high level of service and comfort + I haven’t met such friendly and welcoming hosts in Georgia before. Thank you so much, Tatia and Lasha!

Positive: I used to believe that getting my fill of Georgian nature required getting at least a couple of hours away from Tbilisi. Villa Vejini proved me wrong. It nestles right on the thickly forested cusp of Tbilisi National Park, with a hiking path beginning right on the same street. The 4 of us had an amazing time exploring the nearby woods, grilling kebabs in the yard, and making extensive use of the sauna and hot tub. (It being winter, the balcony jacuzzi was unavailable, but we almost didn't miss it. One more reason to come back in the summer!) The villa itself is built and designed with utmost care, like a space meant to be lived in and loved. Aside from the TV being mounted a little awkwardly above the fireplace, and the over being outdoors and requiring a propane tank to operate, I can't think of a single thing that we'd found inconvenient. I would love to come back to Villa Vejini again for a writing retreat, or a series of hikes in the woods, or simply for an indulgent weekend of sauna and hot tub relaxation.
Negative: I wish the communication had been a little clearer about the oven being outside and requiring propane. Late one evening, we found ourselves craving some roast potatoes and chicken wings and couldn't use the grill because of the snow -- but the gas tank wasn't connected to the oven. Fortunately, one of the hosts graciously drove all the way to the villa to bring us the propane and get the oven working. (As happy and thankful as we were for his help, I just wish we'd known about it in advance -- so we would have asked for the gas during the day and spared the good man a trip in the dark and the snow. :))
